Safety is a Need

​Whether or not you’ve studied psychology, chances are you may have heard of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Or maybe you’ve seen this chart on a poster somewhere. This may be new or review, but this image denotes a pyramid of human needs, according to Abraham Maslow, that starts with our most basic needs; only once the more basic needs have been met can the individual focus on the next. We utilize this chart at BASU to inform us of the direction in which to grow and develop our products because we agree that safety is among the most basic needs. And as represented in this hierarchy, personal security is among the main concerns. It may seem rather straightforward, but this theory and pyramid display the significance of not only our niche, but also the responsibility within our role as producers of America’s #1 Emergency Alarm.
