Sam Mansen and Shub Basu believed technology can contribute significantly to the personal safety and exploration space. They were right, delivering in 2015 the best selling personal alarm in the country - a concept new to many. The "sound grenade" as it was called was noted as the world's smallest SOS alarm, featured on the Today Show with Kathie Lee Gifford, and received coverage on several notable national programs, such as Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien. Ever since, BASU has been expanding into synergistic market opportunities and will continue to do so aggressively.

​Sam Mansen (Captain, USAF)
Sam Mansen commissioned as an Air Force officer after graduating from the prestigious U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO. He served as one of the top performing officers in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged from Active Duty at the rank of Captain, subsequently co-founding B A S U.

Shub Basu (PhD)
Dr. Basu has excelled as an engineer, product creator and product manager for over 20 years. He is well known as an innovation driver in the world of semiconductors and product development. He has worked with multiple Fortune 500 companies and co-founded Lyk2Buy.com prior to joining B A S U.
